There are several opportunities each year to qualify as individuals or to represent the Club in external competitions.

Sheffield Union of Golf Clubs Aitchison Trophy
Entry for this is through a Better-ball Stableford event played at Beauchief in the Spring or early Summer.
Open to players with handicaps of 6 or more.
Players with handicaps of more than 24 play off 24.
90% handicap allowance.
Winning pair, and runners-up, qualify for the final in August at a club in the Sheffield area.

Sheffield Union of Golf Clubs Charities Am-Am Competition (originally the Queen's Jubilee Competition)
An Am-Am Team Strokeplay event for teams of four.
Handicap allowance of 90% - maximum handicap of 24.
Players with handicaps of more than 24 play off 24.
Two net scores to count at each hole.
The winning team qualifies for the final in September at a club in the Sheffield area.

Sheffield Union of Golf Clubs Champion of Champions
An individual scratch event where the winner of a Beauchief event represents the Club.Stroke Play, over 18 holes.
Qualification is linked to a Beauchief Club fixture.
